Annan Paterson is an experienced educator. She is a school psychologist with 40 years experience. Now retired, she is excited to share the joy of reading with youth and adults. She loves storytelling and having fun, too, and is committed to making each session a chance for accomplishment and new found confidence.

Our Training Model
All our tutors are training in and utilize Great Leaps. Why? Because until now it was necessary for a tutor to be in the same place as their student to use this intervention but now with the use of technology. Not anymore! Today I can work with your child, as I do with so many around the country, wherever they are, rain or shine! As a dedicated Great Leaps Tutor, we are part of a “tutor army” that has changed lives in all 50 states and in over 40 countries.
Every child we work with receives loving personalized instruction five days a week. In less than 15 minutes a day, we work through four necessary skill areas to quickly bring your child to independent reading.
The history of Great Leaps has shown that 50% of students will improve almost two years in a single school year, and 1/3 of them will move 3-5 years in that same amount of time! Their progress is monitored daily, enabling you, the parent, to see how they are doing in real-time, and with the average session being 10-15 minutes long, most children really enjoy their Great Leaps time, fostering a love for reading that extends far beyond childhood.
